“The Science of Life”

Ayurveda for moms

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient belief that health and wellness include a balance between the mind, body, and spirit. It was developed thousands of years ago in India and is still practiced today.

Ayurveda brings a more holistic approach to health and disease compared to western medicine. It helps identify the imbalances in your body and avoid disease through proper nutrition, yoga, meditation, lifestyle, and daily routines.

It looks at the 5 elements of life - ether, air, water, earth, and fire. According to Ayurveda, we all have the doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. However, there’s one that may your primary or a combination of all 3.

By balancing your mind, body, and spirit you will increase your overall wellbeing and achieve optimal health.

Improving Your Quality of Life Through Ayurveda

  • Diet

Including a more Ayurvedic diet into your routine will help you understand what you should be consuming based on what your body needs as well as during the seasons.

  • Yoga

The practice of yoga is included in the Ayurvedic lifestyle to help balance your body through movement. It helps manage your stress and disease through working through poses that are right for you.

  • Meditation

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • Immune System

You can naturally boost your immune system through Ayurvedic practices. This includes the foods you eat (e.g. herbs & spices), getting plenty of sleep, and adequate exercise. You will naturally build resistance to disease.

  • Routines

Incorporating a healthy morning and evening routine is essential for keeping your doshas balanced. Setting time for your workout, taking the time to cook and eat, and to whine down at the end of the day will help set the tone for living a healthier and meaningful life.

  • Lifestyle

Incorporating yoga & meditation, aromatherapy, oil massages, even tongue scraping into your routine can enhance your lifestyle. These new habits can help decrease disease, increase immunity, and increase a women’s overall well being.

how i work with ayurveda

I like to work with Ayurveda as a tool to help improve women’s health by introducing new practices into their routines. Everyone’s body is different and I like to honor your body by conducting a basic wellness assessment to help understand and make recommendations on how to improve your diet, daily routine, and physical health.

Ayurveda Wellness Assessment

  • Quiz

A quiz will be provided that will help determine which dosha is more dominant. We all have 3 doshas in your body - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. However, usually one or two will be your prime dosha. This will help determine what type of foods, routines, type of lifestyle you should create to maintain all 3 doshas balanced.
